What is the Pet Owners Sticker Trading Community?
I was first exposed to the sticker trading community in Jun 2020 when I was engaged by a corgi owner to draw her pet. It was also my first artwork done as a freelance illustrator.
My first commissioned artwork for @corgi_cleo!
From there, I gained more followers and business and realised that these pet owners turn their commissioned artworks into stickers/magnets to trade with one another!
How to sticker trade?
If you are interested in sticker trading, these are some of the steps you may follow:
1. Get a customised artwork or picture of your pet
You may draw your own artwork or use photos you've taken. You may also consider commissioning Pet Artists/Illustrators to draw customised artworks for you. You can find these artists online by searching the following keywords:

Pet Artwork
Pet Commission

2. Print the artwork/picture into physical product
After you have gotten the customised artwork done of their pet, you may consider getting the artwork printed into stickers/magnets/postcards etc.

3. Post the artwork/photo of the physical product online and #stickertrading
Post online and let your followers know that you're open to sticker trading! By using relevant hashtags, you will also expose your post to other interested pet owners.
Exchange mailing details privately and only if you are comfortable.
Over time, you will gain more likeminded friends through sticker trading! You will also accumulate a huge collection of cute stickers/products of other adorable pets.
4. Organise the stickers
You can organise your stickers in journals or sticker books (wax papers are used where you can reuse the stickers in the future).
Slowly, you'll notice how many friends you've made through this little hobby and you'll get to admire all the cute art you've collected.
